A Level Results 2017

Staff, students, families and governors are delighted with the overall results for our 6th form students this year. Our A level results are the best Sydenham has ever had with 57% of grades at A*/B and 29% of these at A*/A. Across SFH6 as a whole 4 students have gained a place at Oxford and Cambridge and we are extremely proud of this achievement.

These students are: Maddie Luszczack who will be reading English at Oxford; Andi Marsh who will be reading Classics at Oxford; Adam Powell-Davis who will be taking up a place at Oxford to read Japanese and Jennifer Sheasby who has a place to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge. Some other great results include Zoe Powell-Davis who has gained a place to study Veterinary Medicine at Edinburgh, Katie Lupton who will be studying Medicine at Bristol and Kate Alston who has a place at Manchester University to study Physics.

Dean McGinty and Rashann Thwanga-John will both be the first in their families to attend university and we are all very proud of their achievements. Dean achieved 3 Distinction* grades in Health and Social Care and will be studying Health Studies at University and Rashann achieved  Distinction* in Dance and 2 Distinction* grades in Business Studies, she will be studying Business at the University of Kingston.
