Studying Computer Science equips students in this Digital Age to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. The subject has deep links with Mathematics, Science, and Design and Technology, and provides insights into both natural and artificial systems.

At Sydenham the Computer Science curriculum aims, to ensure that students become digitally literate, and to enthuse them about the principles of information and computation, how digital systems work, and how to use information technology to create programs, systems and a range of content.

Underpinning our aims, is the intent to build expertise in the subject through developing our students’ skills in Generalisation, and Flexible, Logical and Critical Thinking.
